New LPKF LDS structuring system for extended antennas at Productronica Trade Fair
Recently introduced, the LPKF Fusion3D 1500 expands the range of antenna size, allowing for larger components to be produced. Until now, LDS components could only be structured in a scanning field of 120 x 120 x 50 millimeters which is very well suited for smart phone antennas. Now with the Fusion3D 1500 and the expansion of the scanning field to 160 x160 x 80 millimeters, the component size can grow by 30 percent. If these scanning fields are placed next to one another in several passes, even larger component dimension can be created.
“The system is equipped with two shuttles so two long components can be structured with dimensions up to 400 x 78 x 80 millimeters without wasting valuable time,” explains Nils Heininger, Director of the Cutting & Structuring Laser business unit. Another distinctive feature of the new LPKF Fusion 3D 1500 is the ability to be equipped with a multiple processing unit controller that allows up to three laser sources to operate at the same time, substantially lowering processing time.
With all its technological advances, the laser system only requires one power connection, a dust extraction unit and can be positioned onto rollers, making it easy to transport.
